Fallen Officers Memorial Garden
The Pearland Police Officers Association FOP Lodge 119 – Charities is raising money to build an Officers Memorial Garden on the grounds of the Pearland Police Department that will honor the brave public servants who have sacrificed everything for the people of Pearland.
Pearland's police officers put on their uniforms and report for duty each day knowing that there's a chance they may never see their family again. Our community has seen this reality up close. Officer Harry Wendell was struck and killed by a vehicle while directing traffic in October 1967, and Officer James Cassidy was fatally struck by a truck while on duty in May 1973. Just a few short years ago, Officer Endy Ekpanya was killed when his patrol car was struck by a drunk driver in June 2016.
We honor each of these officers' sacrifices every day, but it's time to give these heroes a permanent memorial. The Pearland Police Officers Association FOP Lodge 119 – Charities is raising money to build an Officers Memorial Garden on the grounds of the Pearland Police Department that will honor the brave public servants who have sacrificed everything for the people of Pearland.
Generous professional donations have allowed us to design a garden that will pay tribute to our officers who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. In order to make this design a reality, we're asking for your help. Please consider donating to this cause to build a permanent tribute to these three officers. No public funds are being used to fund this project and all donations are tax deductible as we are part of a 501(c)3 organization.
